Third grade had the opportunity to visit Hansen Planetarium last week. Here are a few key points from their trip:
- The Sun, Earth and Moon are spheres with amazing surfaces.
- The sun gives off light equally in all directions and the Earth and Moon are always half lit. This makes our view of the Moon change over time.
- A close-up view of the Moon’s surface will show off amazing craters and large “seas.”
Ask your third grader to explain a little more about what they learned!
