Hello Rolling Meadows Families,
Teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare for a new school year. Everyone is ready and excited to start tomorrow, Monday, August 21, 2017. The first bell rings at 9:00 a.m. and the tardy bell rings at 9:05 a.m.
Rolling Meadows students and staff will participate in the solar eclipse tomorrow. The school has purchased solar safety glasses for all students to safely view this once in a lifetime event. Teachers will be outside supervising and teaching their classes about the solar eclipse whenever students are outside. Sack lunches have been ordered to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to see the peak of the eclipse. Monday is supposed to be sunny and warm, so please remember to put sunscreen on your children.
The morning computer lab will not open until next Monday, August 28th. Next week the lab will open at 7:40 a.m. for students wanting to work on computers programs or homework before school.
We are continuing to serve breakfast in the classroom. The breakfast is available to all students free of charge. For your child’s safety, please do not have him/her arrive earlier than 8:45 a.m. in the morning unless they are participating in the before school computer lab or safety patrol. Adult supervision is available outside at 8:45 a.m. each morning.
Happy First Day of School!
