About Allie Terrazas
Allie Terrazas graduated with a B.A. in English and B.S. in Mass Communication from the University of Utah. While working in the print journalism field, she wrote an article about the Utah College Access Corps, which supports high school students who face barriers in accessing higher education. She decided to apply for the program and worked as a college advisor at Hillcrest High School.
This experience prompted her to return to school to become a teacher. She completed a Masters in World Languages at the University of Utah with licensure in English and Spanish teaching and an ESL endorsement.
Ms. Terrazas taught Language Arts, ESL, and AVID at Granter High School, Northwest Middle School, and the Horizonte Instruction and Training Center. She worked as a coordinator at Granite Peaks Learning Center, supporting the adult ESL program and the adult education programs in the Metro Jail.
After completing her administrative endorsement program through Southern Utah University, Ms. Terrazas was an administrative intern at Jackling and Lincoln Elementary Schools. She was an assistant principal at Redwood, Farnsworth, and Monroe Elementary Schools before being appointed as the principal of Rolling Meadows Elementary. She loves this community and feels lucky to be a Rocket!
