Dear Prospective Business Sponsor,
Our school, through Granite School District, oversees a unique and typically underserved group of students. YESS students are in state custody or care through Juvenile Justice and Youth Services (JJYS) and/or the Utah Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS). They work hard to overcome challenges and build a brighter future. Students in our program receive a variety of services all which help them achieve success in school and in life.
Our students receive a variety of services that may include any of the following: academic assessment, individual instruction, low student/teacher ratio, behavioral interventions, cognitive skills training, technology training, transition/vocational service, mentoring, tracking and completion of high school credits.
As you can imagine, the students in our program face numerous obstacles that make their educational journey more difficult. Unlike traditional schools, we do not have a Parent-Teacher Student Association (PTSA) or the usual avenues for community support. This means that we rely heavily on partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and individuals who are committed to making a difference in the lives of these young learners. Connecting schools to resources throughout the community promotes positive conversations about and within educational communities.
If you would like to get involved in our program or receive more information, please take a moment to fill out this short form. Thank you in advance for your interest and support.
