Welcome to Kennedy Junior High! Please read all Registration instructions as some things have changed for 2026-27.
This registration is for students who attended one of the following schools last year:
- David Gourley Elementary
- Academy Park
- Jackling Elementary
- Silver Hills Elementary
- Hunter Elementary
Online Registration
Registration for the 2026-2027 school year will open on July 31, 2026 through the Granite School District Parent Portal. All necessary forms including the Fee Waiver are online. You will need your students school ID number. Instructions for Online Registration (PDF).

If you will be applying for a Fee Waiver, it must be submitted within the first 30 days of the new school year to be considered. Instructions for submitting a Fee Waiver (PDF).
Free & Reduced Lunch
Apply for Free & Reduced lunch is not included with the Fee Waiver. Families are encouraged to apply for Free & Reduced meals. Applications must be submitted yearly.
Immunization Clinic
Kennedy Junior will be hosting an Immunization Clinic for KJH students only during Back to School Night on Monday, August 10, 2026 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
For Students Who Are New to the Area
Enrollment and registration will be done in person with the Counseling Center. To schedule an appointment please call 385-646-5208 beginning July 31, 2026. Please use the School Search map to verify that your address is within our school boundaries. Granite School District and Utah State Law require that you present these personal records for enrollment:
- A current utility bill or Mortgage/Lease Agreement establishing your proof of residence within the school boundaries (no cell phone bills).
- If the proof of residence is not in the name of the legal guardian of the student, you must complete the “Affirmation of Residence” form with a notary.
- Not required for those attending on an approved Open-Enrollment Permit.
- Birth Certificate
- SL County Birth Certificate Request Form: English (PDF) or Spanish (PDF)
- Immunization Records – Current immunization record
- Students will not be allowed to attend Kennedy Junior without current immunizations.
- Checkout form from the Previous School – (not required if enrolling before the start of the current school year).
