- SafeUT is a free app that helps students talk to trained counselors anytime — 24/7. You can chat, text, or call if you’re feeling stressed, sad, or worried about something at school or home. It’s private, easy to use, and they are there to support you with anything from bullying to family problems or just needing someone to listen. You can watch this video to see how it works! - 988 is a phone number you can call or text if you’re feeling really sad, scared, stressed, or just need someone to talk to. It is a helpline for you.
- The county library offers live tutors, test prep and more for students of all ages and abilities. Click on the link for more information. Best part….it is FREE!
- Teens Against Bullying is a website to help students understand what bullying is and what you can do about it. It gives ideas for speaking up, supporting others, and being kinder in your school. You can also read stories from teens who’ve been through bullying and find ways to take action.
- The Utah Pride Center offers programs, support, and a community space for people of all genders and identities. It hosts youth events, social groups, educational resources, and events to help people feel included and respected.
- Salt Lake County Youth Services is a safe place where kids and teens (like you!) can go if they’re having a hard time at home, school, or with friends.

- These are some great prevention classes for parents and students. The groups are free and on-line or in person. Here is more information on specific FREE classes they offer, such as rock climbing workshop, stress busters class for kids, and changing your mindset. Here is a FREE parenting class starting Feb. 2026.
Parent Resources
- The Granite Education Foundation supports students in the Granite School District by helping meet basic needs like food, clothing, school supplies, and even transportation. They work to remove barriers that make it harder for kids to learn and succeed in school. Whether it’s a warm coat in winter, a backpack filled with supplies, or a meal to get through the weekend, the Foundation makes sure students have the essentials they need to thrive — both in and out of the classroom.
Mental health services through Huntsman Mental Health (HMHI)
- The Huntsman Mental Health Institute (HMHI) at University of Utah Health offers mental health support, treatment, and crisis care for people of all ages. If a child or teen (ages 5–17) is in crisis, HMHI has a 24/7 walk‑in clinic where staff evaluate the situation and connect you with care. They also provide regular therapy, outpatient programs, hospital services, and specialized care for issues like anxiety, depression, substance use, and more. There is also a 24/7 walk-in facility in South Salt Lake for adults, no appointment is necessary.
- Parents Empowered is a resource for families to help prevent underage drinking by giving parents tools, tips, and information to guide conversations with kids. The site offers things like conversation starters, activities to do together, research on how alcohol affects young brains, and strategies for setting clear expectations. It’s free, evidence-based, and designed to support parents in protecting their children’s health and well‑being.

- If you need food assistance, you can find local food pantries through www.tacklehunger.org.
- 211 Utah is a free and confidential service that helps people find local health, human, and community resources across Utah. You can call, text, or chat with them to get help with things like food, housing, mental health support, or other services.
- Utah Food Bank is a statewide nonprofit that works to fight hunger by distributing food throughout Utah. Please reach out to them for help with food.
- Valley Behavioral Health is a non‑profit organization in Utah that provides mental and behavioral health services for people of all ages — kids, teens, adults, and families. They offer counseling, outpatient and residential care, autism services, support for families, and walk‑in crisis help to connect you with the right help fast.
