Online Re-Enrollment – Starts 7/31 at 8:00 AM

Everyone needs to re-enroll so we know for sure you are returning to school next year at Penn. This also gives you the opportunity to update your contact information and make sure everything is accurate. Click here for instructions on how to re-enroll.

Summer Reading Party – 8/5 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Let us know if you are coming to the party. Click here to RSVP! Complete book reports at the event to try and dunk the principal. Each book report earns you one ball to throw at the dunk tank (up to 5 balls per person). You can also complete book reports ahead of time online. Click here to submit an online book report.

Back-to-School Night – 8/11 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Unlike the last two years there will be no schedule, no agenda and no presentations. The purpose of the evening is for you and your students to see their future classroom and meet their teachers. Please keep your interactions with the teacher brief so all students and families have an opportunity to meet and greet each teacher. If a more in-depth conversation is needed with the teacher, please visit the office during the event and schedule a private meeting with the teacher for another day in the near future.

First Day of School For Grades 1-5

School starts at 8:35 AM and the tardy bell rings at 8:40. Students will line up on the playground according to their homeroom teacher assignment. Signs will be posted and staff will be onsite to help your student find their homeroom line. Click here for a description of how to interpret your student’s schedule and teacher assignments. Also, please not this year there will be no flag ceremony or safety patrol swearing-in ceremony before school. Teachers will come out to pick up their students 8:35 AM and escort them into the building. Parents should not enter the student doors or follow their students to class. Proceed to the office and obtain a visitor’s badge if your student needs you to accompany them to the first day of class (reserved for students who need accommodations due to 504 or IEP status, or similar issue).

Kindergarten Testing by Appointment – 8/11, 8/12 & 8/13

Kindergartens will not be assigned a teacher until each student is assessed individually. Click here to make an kindergarten assessment appointment. Kindergarten class lists will be emailed to parents and posted online in the evening of Friday 8/14.

First Day of Kindergarten – 8/17

All kindergarten students will wait in the small playground in the upper parking lot. Teachers will escort your students to class at 8:35 AM. Please say your goodbyes to your students before they enter the building. Proceed to the office and obtain a visitor’s badge if your student needs you to accompany them to the first day of class (reserved for students who need accommodations due to 504 or IEP status, or similar issue). NOTE: All kindergarten classes will dismiss at 1:15 PM for the entire first week of school. The first full day for kindergarten will be on Monday, August 24th.
