Explore Colleges Without Leaving Skyline!

Did you know that colleges and universities from across the country visit Skyline High School to meet with students? Throughout the school year, we welcome representatives from a wide variety of colleges, including many out-of-state schools, who are excited to share what makes their campuses unique!

During these visits, students can learn about academic programs, campus life, admissions requirements, the application process, and what colleges are looking for in future students. It’s also a great opportunity to ask questions directly to college representatives, explore schools you may not have considered, and pick up some fun college swag and giveaways!

See Who’s Visiting & Sign Up!

Want to know which colleges are coming to Skyline? Check out our complete list of upcoming college visits and sign up to attend any that interest you!

Be sure to check back throughout the fall! We’re constantly scheduling visits with additional colleges and universities, so new opportunities are being added regularly. If you don’t see a school you’re interested in right now, it may be added later!

When Do College Visits Happen?

College visits take place throughout the school year. Depending on the college and its schedule, visits may be held:

  • During lunch
  • After school
  • During the regular school day, including class time

Visit times and details are included in our college visit sign-up list so you can find opportunities that work with your schedule.

Need to Miss Class to Attend?

Some college visits take place during regular class time. Students who sign up for these visits will be sent an excusal slip to request permission to attend.

Teacher permission is required. Students must present their excusal slip to their teacher and receive approval before leaving class.

While we encourage students to take advantage of these opportunities, there may be occasions when a teacher determines that a student cannot miss class due to important instruction, assessments, or other classroom responsibilities. In these situations, students are expected to remain in class.

Can’t Make a College Visit?

No worries! If you’re unable to attend a college visit, you’re welcome to stop by the Skyline Career Center afterward to pick up any brochures, informational materials, or other resources the college representative may have left behind. It’s a great way to learn more about a school, even if you couldn’t attend the presentation!

Who Should Attend College Visits?

College visits aren’t just for seniors! Whether you’re starting to explore college options or getting ready to submit applications, these visits can help you make more informed decisions about your future.

You don’t have to know where you want to go to college to attend. In fact, that’s one of the best reasons to participate! Come with an open mind, ask questions, and see what opportunities are out there.

Ready to Explore?

Browse the colleges scheduled to visit Skyline and sign up for the visits you’d like to attend. You’re welcome to explore multiple schools!
