Dear Patrons,
We wanted to make you aware of a patron alert. The Unified Police department of Salt Lake is seeking help in identifying a suspect who allegedly tried to abduct an Elk Run Elementary Student on their way home from school today. The incident happened at approximately 3500 South 8900 West at 1:15 pm. We are so grateful the student is safe.
The suspect is described as a 30-40 year old male, about 6’1” and weighing 300 pounds. He has a goatee, and was wearing a red shirt, blue jeans, and a black baseball hat with flames on the side. He was driving an older style baby blue minivan without windows in the back seat according to police.
