Hello! I’m Mrs. Pierce. I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and raised in Kaneohe, Hawaii. I am married to a wonderful guy known as Mr. Allen Pierce. My husband and I just adopted a rescue dog from UAAF. His name is Winston. I graduated with BA degree in Elementary Education and a minor in French from Southern Utah University. I obtained two endorsements in ESL and Educational Technology. In 2004 I earned my Master’s degree in Educational Counseling from University of Phoenix. This will be my sixth year at Elk Run and beginning my 23rd year of teaching for Granite School District. My interests are reading, cooking, camping, golfing and swimming. I love what I do as a teacher and I love the community of Elk Run Elementary and the students I teach. I am excited for the new school year to start and learning and growing with my students.

Ms. Steinmiller has been teaching 4th, 5th, and 6th graders for over a decade now. Every morning begins with a sparkle in her eyes, as she greets her students with a warm welcome upon entry. It doesn't matter what time you walk by or pop in, there is a feeling of calm. It's such a nice feeling for students!
Ms. Steinmiller believes in giving her students one thing every single day to look forward to. Those one, little things sure do add up. Ms. Steinmiller also believes that good habits and routines are what will carry you through, and they do.
