My name is Penney Bush. This is my third year of teaching first grade at Elk Run. I love learning. My favorite thing is seeing a student's face light up when they understand something new. Enthusiastic students make teaching the best job ever. I am excited to work with the great community here at Elk Run Elementary.

I was born and raised right here in Salt Lake City. I completed my teaching degree in Special Education in 1981 and started my first job that fall as a Special Education teacher at a Jr. High in Granite School District. Over my teaching career I have taught from California to New York. I returned and got another degree in Early Childhood education and have taught for Head Start, Granite preschool and then on to Kindergarten which brought me to ELK RUN where I discovered FIRST GRADE and the best team I've ever taught with! I'm here to stay! There's nothing I love more than teaching young children and seeing them find those moments when they get excited about learning!

My name is Mrs. Diane Stock. I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Utah State University. My degree is in Elementary Education with a Minor in Language Arts. I am also ELL Endorsed from Weber State University. I love teaching, especially first graders, they are my favorite people. First Graders are eager to learn, bright, funny, and a joy to be around. I especially love to teach phonics and reading. I am married to Mr. Karl Stock. We have 6 children (all married) and 14 grandchildren. I am looking forward to another year at Elk Run!
