This is my sixth year at Elk Run Elementary School. I love teaching at Elk Run, our students are amazing. I graduated from the University of Utah with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and ESL endorsement. I went on to graduate from Grand Canyon University with my Master’s Degree in Reading Curriculum with an emphasis in Elementary Education. My goal is to be able to establish a love of learning in each child’s outlook. When students have a voice in what they are learning they are more motivated to work hard and achieve the skills necessary to reach their goals. By learning these skills at a young age they will be able to go further in their own education with this ability as a cornerstone.

Mr. Christensen (Mr. C) loves the field of teaching. After spending several years in the world of Healthcare, Marketing & Public Relations, Mr. C decided to go back to school and pursue a more exciting career for himself. Mr. C always wanted to be a teacher growing up, and came to the conclusion that teaching felt like the right fit for him. Mr. C received his Masters of Arts in Teaching from Westminster College in December of 2009. He began his career at Philo T. Farnsworth Elementary, then taught at Robert Frost, and is now very excited to be a member of the Elk Run family. Mr. C has always taught third grade and thinks they are the most exciting group in terms of curriculum and age. Mr. C is from Woods Cross, Utah and comes from a family of six. He has three brothers, no sisters, and lots of nieces and nephews. Mr. C also has an English Cocker Spaniel named Serena who dominates his household, and a Scottish Terrier named Halston who tries to dominate Serena. Mr. C enjoys reading, music, art, theater, dancing, going to the movies, and hanging out with friends and family.
