My name is Mrs. Long-Fisher, and this is my 17th year teaching. What I love most about teaching is is the time I get to spend with our future. I love watching my students learn more about the world that they live in. I envision my future in the hands of the students in my classroom and I smile. I look forward to working with amazing students and colleagues. I am truly excited to have another year here at Elk Run Elementary. I love the opportunity to learn and grow and become a better person.
Mrs. Cynthia Schmidt
Having a classroom of my own has been a longtime goal and after about 23 years of substituting at the neighborhood school, I have finally reached it! I am excited to join the wonderful staff at Elk Run Elementary teaching 6th grade. I have six children, all grown, and 11 grandchildren. My husband of 40 years has been my greatest supporter. I have lived all over Utah and even for a time in Washington D.C. but have called West Valley home for 38 years. I love to eat ice cream sandwiches, sing and play the piano, look at cookbooks and magazines, watch movies and TV series and I try to grow a garden. I am looking forward to a fabulous first year!
