Dear Granite Park Parents and Students,
As we begin our second week of school, we are so excited to have our great students back in our building. Overall, we had a great first week and we have been impressed at how well all of our students have managed the new requirements associated with our re-opening.
I want to thank all of you for your patience and support as we work to overcome the challenges associated with providing face-to-face learning and distance learning opportunities for our students. Our teachers have been working diligently to develop the most effective ways to engage all learners.
For students and parents that have issues related to Chromebooks, please contact our school so we can put you in contact with someone that can provide assistance. Our website also has several resources that can be used to help solve many of the Chromebook and technology issues many students/parents are having.
Just a reminder all students, both face-to-face learners as well as distance learners, are using CANVAS this year as the primary learning management system. This is also the platform that all students will need to use on Fridays which are distance learning days for all students.
In order to help maintain a productive learning environment for all of our students we are asking that all students bring the following items to school each day: a charged Chromebook, student binder and a water bottle. All of these items were given to students the first week of school.
Several families have already chosen to move back to face-to-face learning. This is a decision that we respect and understand. If students and parents want to have a change in learning modality, please contact our main office to set up an appointment with an administrator relating to options: 385-646-5174.
