PRINCIPAL MESSAGE
It is hard to believe that we are starting our 2nd term on 10/26. I have been so impressed by our students and the responsibility they are showing by coming to class each day prepared with their Chromebook, binder, and school planner. I look forward to another successful term and appreciate all the support our school receives from parents and community members. Granite Park is truly a special school!
Parent and Student Reminders
Granite Park is committed to providing students with an engaging learning atmosphere free from distractions. As a result, we need parent support in reminding students of the following policies:
- Cell phones are not allowed at school for any reason. This policy is in effect, 7:45 am to 2:45 pm every day If a cell phone is seen (this includes hanging out of pockets), heard, or used during school, the phone will be confiscated. Parents will be required to pick up the phone in the front office.
- Hats and Hoods are not allowed in school. Please review with your students the importance of not wearing these items in school. As we all know, students are required to wear masks and when students also where hats and/or hoods, we are unable to identify students and can only see a students eyes. Students who receive a PBIS incentive hat will be able to wear their Granite Park, Granger and Cottonwood hats during school.
Change in Learning Modality
If you would like your student to switch learning modalities, please contact the school to set up a time to meet so we can discuss your child’s placement. We are committed to help you find the best placement for your student.

COVID Related Information
One of the factors that has helped our school stay open is because students are doing a great job of staying home when they are exhibiting any COVID related symptoms. Parents please continue to monitor your child’s symptoms and keep them home until they are symptom free, without medicine, for 24 hours. Our teachers will work with you and your student to make sure they don’t fail behind.
If you have any questions relating to COVID such as free testing sites and other procedures, please contact the COVID Hotline at 1-800-456-7707. You can also access information online at coronavirus.utah.gov
