Course Selection
Parents we are in the process of having students select their classes for next year. In person learners have completed this in their classes. If your student is a Distance Learner, we need your student to complete a course selection card. There are several ways for this to occur. Please work with your student to complete one of the following options so we know what classes they want to take next year:
1. Complete a course selection card that can be found on our school website. All information gathered will automatically go to the school. Click here to access our course selection site.
2. Come to school and meet with a counselor. This will allow you to ask questions and receive any help you need as you complete your card.
3. Call our counseling department, 385-646-5177, and someone will complete a card for you over the phone.
Gifted and Talented Program
Parents, we want to continue to offer all of our students the opportunity to take classes that they need to maximize their individual growth. If you are interested in having your student tested to see if they qualify for our Gifted and Talented program, please contact our counselor, Carlee Johnson (385-646-3392 or cjjohnson@graniteschools.org) to let her know. The test itself should only take around 30 minutes and we can facilitate the test at Granite Park.
Tardies
Parents we continue to have issues with students begin tardy to class. We will be upping our efforts to enforce out tardy policy. Please remind your students that they need to be in class on time. Students who continue to arrive to class late will receive the following consequences:
1st Tardy = Warning
2nd Tardy = Lunch Detention
3rd Tardy = Student call home and a Lunch Detention
4th Tardy = Student call home and After School Detention
5th Tardy = Suspension (parent will be required to meet with administration before student can return to school)
