Holiday Happenings (formerly called Dinner at the Park)
For the past several years our school has worked with a local charity called Best Seat in the House to help provide families in our school community with food and a gift for children. This year’s holiday event, which will now be called, Granite Park Holiday Happenings will take place on December 20th from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
We will have around 300 meals and gifts for families. Please come and join us on this night as we prepare for the holidays.
Tardy Policy
We have seen an increase in the number of tardies we have each day. Here is a reminder of our tardy process and expectations for students:
We require all students to be on time to every class. If a student is late, they will face the following consequences:
1st Tardy – Warning
2nd Tardy – Lunch Detention
3rd Tardy – 1 hour After School Detention
4th Tardy – 2 hour After School Detention
5th Tardy – Overnight suspension (parents required to meet with school)
Please talk to your student about the importance of being on time to class.
Upcoming Dates and Events
Please review the important calendar information:
- Winter Break will start on December 22nd and students will return to school on January 4th.
- Granite Park Performing Arts Night will be on December 15th at 6:00 pm. Come see our students share their talents. We will have performances from the Granite Park Band, Orchestra, Choir and Dance Company. This event is free of charge, and we will also have food available from our food pantry for those that would like to take some home.
- End of term/semester will be January 11th. Please work with your students to make sure all assignments are completed.
- No school January 12th, 13th, and 16th. Our third term will start on January 17th.
