Parents, we are officially halfway done with the school year! Students started many new classes when they returned this week. We look forward to working with you and your student as we finish up the school year. Just a reminder, we would love to help you in any way possible. If you have any concerns, needs, or questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the school.
Granite Park – Title 1 Information
As a parent of a Title I school, you have additional rights and opportunities available to you. Please visit the Title I section of our school website to learn your rights, see our recent school grade, learn what we are doing to improve our school, and read our newly updated parent engagement policy and school learning compact.
Granite Park Boundary Changes
Recently the Board of Education approved several boundary changes in our district. One of the changes will impact our school. Several students who attended Moss Elementary previously will now be required to attend Bonneville Jr. High starting next year.
If this change impacts your student and they would like to continue to attend Granite Park, you will need to complete a special permit. We will be meeting with affected students and provide them with a paper copy of the special permit on 1/20. We will also call each family individually to discuss options.
To see if your student is affected by this change and will now be required to attend Bonneville, please look at the map provided:
Students can also apply for a special permit online using the link provided:

Parent Focus Group
Recently Granite Park was identified as a CSI school which will allow our school to work with state and district representatives to improve systems within our school. One of the steps we would like to take is to have a Parent Focus Group to work with us to identify strengths and weaknesses in our school and improve to better meet the needs of our community. Our first Parent Focus meeting will be on January 25th at 10:00 am at the school.
If anyone is interested in being part of our focus group, please contact the school so we can communicate the expectation. The best way to communicate your interest is to email Principal Griffiths at cgriffiths@graniteschools.org.
