WIDA Testing
- WIDA Testing is for our English Language Learners. This process will start in late January and students will take a total of 4 language assessments in their classes. These include:
O Reading
O Writing
O Speaking
O Listening
- If student score high enough on the assessments, they will not have to take the WIDA assessment again. This is our goal for all students.
- Our Monthly Parent University on January 25th will focus on WIDA logistics and what parents can do to help students be successful on this assessment. We will meet from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm on this night. Light refreshments will be provided, and we will have drawings for prizes for those that attend.
Parent Teacher Conference PTC will be held on February 5th and 6th from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, both nights. We will once again ask parents and students to start conferences with your student’s Den teacher so students can review key data points with parents. This should only take 5-7 minutes and at the conclusion of the meeting, parents will be provided with their student’s schedule.
Students that come with a parent to our conference will be entered into a drawing for a free pair of Air Pods. We also provide students with an additional entry in our drawing if they visit their Den teacher when they arrive.
We hope to see you here for this event.

Student Discipline and Bullying
In the Jr. High setting there are times when students exhibit behaviors that are not acceptable in school resulting in students receiving consequences. When these behaviors are brought to our attention, we go through a very structured process to ensure we investigate thoroughly and protect the due process rights of all students involved.
Please click the link provided for an outline of the steps we take when dealing with
behavioral issues. There is also information relating to what “BULLYING” is and is not. We
use these forms when investigating issues relating to accusations of Bullying.
