Granite Park Annual Title 1 Meeting
Parents we want to invite you to attend out annual Title 1 meeting that will be held at our school on
September 24th at 3:30 pm. In the meeting we will review how Title 1 impacts our school, and we
will also seek your input relating to our school engagement policy and parent compact.
We will also be holding out first School Community Council meeting at the same and location.
We hope to see you there so we can get your valuable feedback.
Granite Park Parent University
Last year at Granite Park we started a program called Parent University which is designed to help us
build the capacity of parents to help their students be more successful at school. We also want to
create the opportunity for parents to voice their concerns and discuss school related topic with the
hope of improving our school and meeting the needs of all students.
Our first Parent University will be held on September 26th from 6:30 pm -7:30 pm. Come join us and
enjoy some light refreshments and a prize drawing.

Community Resources
Granite Park and the United Way work closely to try and ensure our students and their families have
access to needed resources to ensure students can focus on their academic progress. Below is a link
of resources found in our community that include resources for items like free transportation, access
to food, and many other forms of assistance.

Title 1 Stakeholder Survey
Granite Park is a Title 1 school which means that our school receives extra funding to help reduce the
achievement gap that exists in our school. The funds we used are directly relating to meeting the
needs of all students. We are asking that all stakeholders, complete the attached Title 1 stakeholder
survey; this will help identify areas of success and needed improvement.

Important Dates to Remember
- The end of our 1st quarter will be October 9th.
- Fall Break will be October 10th – October 14th. Our 2nd quarter will begin on October 15th.
