Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to Olympus Jr. High. We are excited to begin the new school year. It’s going to be a great year, so let’s get it started. Please read the following carefully as there is a lot of information.
The following steps will aide you in preparing for the 2023-24 school year.
- Go to https://graniteschools.focusschoolsoftware.com/focus/ to register and pay fees. Click on one of the orange boxes to begin your journey. Once this is completed, you will have access to your child’s class schedule within 24hrs. If you have questions or issues please contact the front office.
- Remember all 7th grade students need updated immunizations and boosters. These are required by the State of Utah to be completed before school begins on August 16, 2023 or your student will be sent home. Please bring a copy to the Counseling Center office Monday-Friday, 8am-3pm now till school begins.
- August 16th —First day of school. Orientation for 6thgraders and any new student begins at 7:45 in the auditorium. All other students will have a late start and begin school at 9:45am.
Other Important Notes and Answers
- On the first day of school, students should come prepared with a writing utensil and a folder with some paper. Students will receive supply lists and class disclosures from teachers through the next couple of days.
- Election packets for Class Officers -6,7 & 8 grades, will be available August 21 in the main office.
- A meeting for intramurals for Boys and Girls Soccer and X-Country (1.5m distance running) will be after school on Aug 18th and sports begin the week of August 21-25.
SCHOOL COMMUNITY COUNCIL ELECTIONS
Come be part of an influential part of Olympus Jr. High. We have 3 opening on our School Community Council this year. Members of this council make decisions for Olympus Jr. High in regards to school goals, technology and safety and are responsible for appropriating $100,000 in these areas. If you are interested, please fill out the attached declaration form to run by August 17. Elections, will be held August 21-24
