Dennis Bollschweiler
Mr. Bollschweiler has taught in Granite School District since 2013. He started his first year as a math teacher in Granite's Youth in Custody (YESS), then accepted a position at one of Granite's junior high schools teaching 7th, 8th and Secondary I mathematics over the last 7 years. Mr. Bollschweiler has a Bachelors degree in Mathematics Education from Western Governor University and a Masters degree in Education for Curriculum and Instruction in Mathematics from Concordia University - Portland. He will be teaching 8th Grade Mathematics and Secondary I Mathematics. This is Mr. Bollschweiler's first year at Olympus Junior High and is very excited to get to know a new and diverse group of students.

JoAnne Brown
Mrs. Brown is beginning her 23rd year at Oly Jr. She is excited to be teaching 6th Grade, 7th Gifted and Talented, and the new STEM Concepts course. She earned her degrees from The Evergreen State College in Washington state and became National Board Certified in Science in 2018. She is currently serving as a Utah Teacher Fellow.





Autumn Edwards
Mrs. Edwards attended the University of Utah and received a BA in English Teaching, a BA in German, and a MA in Teaching Secondary Ed. She has taught at Utah high schools and junior highs in various capacities, and has been a literacy tutor for adults. Mrs. Edwards has also served in the PTSA on local, council, and region boards.

Mrs. Howard is fabulous! She started her teaching career over 20 years ago in Youth Corrections and hopes to retire (many years from now) here at Olympus Junior. She received her Bachelor's degree from Utah State University (GO AGGIES!) and has a Masters in Education from Grand Canyon University. Mrs. Howard is dedicated to reading and writing every day in her classes (even coding!) and expects that students show up ready to think!
Mrs. Howard is endorsed in: ELL, Psychology, Gifted & Talented, and is working on an endorsement in Digital Literacy.
Tyler Jensen
Science, Art, Track & Field
Mr. Jensen came to Olympus Junior in 2014 and has loved it ever since. He teachers science and coaches distance running for the track and field team. Mr. Jensen’s door is open to talk about current art and film, new science news, or to have a good laugh.
Michael McCullough
Spanish
This is Mr. McCullough’s 17th year teaching Spanish, and 6th year teaching Keyboarding. He has taught Spanish levels 1-3 at the high school and junior high levels. He lived in Ecuador for two years. He also has a degree in music sound recording and loves to record and compose music. He played high school basketball and baseball (and still had time to finish his homework!). Currently he is an avid mountain biker and pickleball player.

Caryn Melonas
I have been teaching Health, PE, Circuit Training, Study Skills, and Math for 20 years. I am also an online Health teacher for Granite School District. I am very enthusiastic, passionate, and dedicated to helping others achieve their optimal level of health. In my spare time, I run marathons, lift weights, do yard work, read, cook, compete in triathlons, and train clients for fitness and nutritional goals. I am a person of my word and believe in hard work, perseverance, and dedication. I also love life. I have two wonderful children who are everything to me and continually show me how to enjoy every moment given.
Jessica Moody
Library Media Educational Technology Specialist
Ms. Moody graduated from the University of Utah with a BS in Chemistry and Texas Woman’s University with a Masters of Library Science. She is a past-president of UELMA (Utah Educational Library Media Association). She reviews children’s and young adult books for School Library Journal, Disney Hyperion, Granite Media, and “Kiss The Book”. In her free time Ms. Moody enjoys hiking, spinning, reading, and just about anything outdoors.

Steven Rossi
Steve Rossi has worked in a variety of schools across the Granite School District. He has a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and a Master’s in Educational Technology, both from the University of Utah. He teaches Digital Literacy, Creative Coding and Python, and is also in charge of the Tech Crew that runs the morning announcements.
Kerry Selk
CTE, Engineering, Girls Volleyball
Mr. Selk has been teaching here at Olympus Jr. High for 20 years. I teach Exploring Technology 1 and 2, Manufacturing Technology, and occasionally a Math class. I also Coach the Cross Country teams, Girls Basketball and Volleyball.
Carly Sorenson
I love being a teacher and student! I have a BS in United States history, with a minor in Spanish from California State University, Chico and another BS in Special education from Utah State University. I just finished my Family & Consumer Science endorsement, and really enjoyed teaching College & Career Awareness last year. To satisfy my creative needs, I love to costume for Oly Jr musicals.
Jayne Springman
Vocal Music, Dance, Golf
I love music and dance and want to instill a love and appreciation for the arts. I graduated from the University of Utah. I have three children two live here in Utah and one in NYC. I love to travel and enjoy golfing,skiing,and hiking. I have been teaching in the Granite School District for 28 years.
Nicole Stansbury
Nicole Stansbury is an English teacher in Granite School District. She earned an MA in English and taught for 12 years as Asst. Professor of English at SLCC. She is a published writer of two works of fiction, and enjoys times with her children, horse ("Cowboy") and dogs.
Aubrey Taylor
Mrs. Taylor is new to Olympus Jr. High and is excited to be here. She loves to teach math, but she also has a passion for music and playing the guitar, enjoys being out in nature, has fun canning salsa from her own garden and loves spending most of her extra time with her husband and kids.
Alan Thomas
As the school’s longest term employee no one can image OJH without Mr. Thomas’s smile. Alan has taught at OJH since 19XX. Alan is constantly demonstrating his strength in technology as he learns new tools and integrates them into his curriculum. In his spare time he teaches Spanish at BYU. In addition Mr. Thomas is an Excel award winner.

Zeke Totland

I have been teaching for 22 years in both public and private schools. I have been with Granite School District for 15 years. I enjoy working with students in the performing arts and developing their creativity.
Marshel Troop
After 15+ years as a restaurant manager and 10 years as an entrepreneur I thought it would be best if I brought my talents to Olympus Jr. High. I have a wife, 4 kids, 3 chickens, 2 fish and a dog. I attended Dixie State, SUU, and SLCC. I speak Italian and Spanish. My favorite film is Return of the King.
Robert Wagner
I've been teaching science for over the past 20 years in the Granite District. Four of those years have been at Olympus Jr. High and I'm excited to add another year here at Olympus. Eight years ago my family and I moved to the East Millcreek area and enjoy the outdoor opportunities Utah and particularly this area has to offer.
Clinton Whiting
2020 will be Mr. Whiting's second year teaching at Olympus Jr High. Before that he taught 2 years at Connection High School, and 5 years at the Visual Arts Institute. He received his bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Utah, and a Masters of Fine Arts from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, in Rome Italy, 2012.
Mr. Whiting believes painting, drawing, and creative making helps students solve problems of all types.
Adrienne Wright
Madame Wright lived in France and loves all things French! She loves to cook, take long walks, listen to music and watch baseball! She has three children and has been able to teach all three!
