DONATE TO OLYMPUS SCHOOL PBIS STORE
At Olympus, as part of our positive behavior support program we have a “School Store”. Students receive “Bulldog Bucks” currency for positive behaviors and are able to use it at the store. HALLOWEEN AND COSTUMES
Students will be allowed to wear costumes to school on Oct. 27. This is in connection with Halloween, College Week activities, and our first dance after school on the 27th from 12:45-1:45pm in the gym. Please keep costumes dress code appropriate and no props/weapons/masks. Please no costumes on Oct. 31.

The counseling center has a fun and informative College Week planned next week and is in need of some volunteer support. In addition, we are looking for donations toward a cash prize for our college essay contest. (PTAs aren’t allowed to fund cash prizes at the junior high level.) There will be a $50 prize winner for each grade level. Tuesday: Take a college quiz to be entered into a raffle (link on Canvas announcement Tuesday)
Wednesday: Lunchtime activities
Thursday: Wear college gear for a prize/Essay contest deadline (link on Canvas announcement or Counseling Center Website)
Friday: Lunchtime activity: Dreamboard
For College Week (October 23-27th), the Counseling Center is hosting an essay contest. One student from each grade will win $50!
Just fill out this form and include your essay of 300 words or less that answers the question, “How does education “elevate” you?” We encourage you to make it personal–just like you will someday as you write essays for real college scholarships. Essays will be judged by how well written they are and how you well you incorporate your personal story.

BASKETBALL
Basketball intramurals info meeting afterschool on Oct. 30 for girls and boys. Play will begin on Nov. 1. All interested are welcome to come and play. The “Allstar” team will be chosen on Nov. 16th. This is the team that competes against other junior highs in the district. Dust off your shoes and get ready to play some bball.
