Dear Parents and Students,
Remember there is no school on Monday, April 29th and there is only 19 days of school remaining. Enjoy your three-day weekend. It is that time of year when there is going to be a lot coming up. Please read the next few emails closely so not to miss any opportunities for your student.
YEAR END–RISE TESTING
The year-end state RISE assessments will be administered on May 1, 7, 9. The whole school will be assessed all at one time from 8-11am with a snack break. By having all our students test, we will have a better understanding of how we need to adjust instruction and intervention for students next school year. We use the data from these state assessments to make goals and determine funding in the school. Your student’s best participation and effort is greatly appreciated. If at all possible please try and schedule doctor and dentist appointments on different days. If you have not done so, please read the attached letter from the School Community Council regarding RISE testing.
DANCE CONCERT
The Spring Dance Concert is Thursday, May 2 at 7pm in the auditorium. It is free and all are welcome to attend. Performing in the concert is the OJH Dance Company, Dance 1, and Dance 2. Please come out and support the Dance Department.
