Dear Granite Park parents and students,
DISTANCE LEARNING: I can’t believe it is May already! We are missing seeing your students in person, and appreciate all your support in helping them with their distance learning. As we continue for these last few weeks of school, here again are some helpful resources for you and your student:
-Google Classroom explanatory videos and resources: https://schools.graniteschools.org/graniteparkjr/online-learning-resources/
-Granite Park teacher’s Google Classroom codes and meeting times: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1mxALIjmYie-fiSevaWIR_jl0SVzepCxHZn1Altm0xTE/edit?usp=sharing.

END-OF-YEAR PROCEDURES: Later this week, we will be calling and mailing home about specific information about year-end procedures. For now, please know this information…. On May 19th and 20th, families will be assigned suggested times during those two days to return their Chromebooks, pick up locker contents, pick up art projects, turn in musical instruments, turn in textbooks and library books, purchase (and pick up) a yearbook, and access food from our food pantry. More specific details are forthcoming, but please pencil in these important dates.
SUMMER SCHOOL: We will be hosting a virtual summer school for students starting June 1st. There will be no charge. The program will be staffed by Granite Park teachers who can help students make up “incomplete” grades, as well as enrichment activities helping them get ready for next school year.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATES: Our school is experiencing some planned construction. Everything is going well, and we are excited for the new look our building will have this Fall. With the construction, our main entry to the school is inaccessible. Patrons (still needing to make an appointment to come in the building), will need to enter through the South doors. Once inside the building, you will find that our temporary office is in room 105, which is in the main hallway on the lower floor.
211: Click the link below for information about 211: a hub of resources for families.
GRADING: Fourth quarter report cards will be mailed out and should arrive to your homes by mid-June. These report cards will show whether your student passed each class this quarter or received an incomplete grade. Remember that students who will receive an incomplete grade will have the opportunity to make these grades up as a “pass,” but it is better for them to put in the effort now to receive a passing grade.
Thank you,
Aaron Wilson
