About Erika Sherwood:
Mrs. Sherwood loves her job as a school counselor at Wasatch. She attended the University of Utah and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in School Counseling. Mrs. Sherwood has been a school counselor for over 17 years. Before coming to Wasatch, Mrs. Sherwood was a counselor at Skyline High and Granger High. Mrs. Sherwood has been married for 34 years and has 2 children, a son-in-law and 3 grandkids! Her children and husband are Wasatch alumni. She loves to travel to anywhere with a beach and her favorite places are Kauai, Newport Beach, and Lake Powell. Mrs. Sherwood also likes movies, shopping, boating, and yummy restaurants. You might have seen her carrying a Diet Coke because she is a big fan. Mrs. Sherwood’s favorite thing about Wasatch is the students. She loves interacting with her students and being able to get to know them and advocate for them.

About Laura K. Christen:
Mrs. Christen grew up in Holladay, graduated from Olympus High, and after several years out of state, is now proud to call Utah her home once again. She has loved working at Wasatch Jr. High ever since graduating in 2023 with her Master’s Degree in Professional School Counseling from USU. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development from BYU and has worked in Education for more than a decade. She recently remarried, has 5 children of her own, plus his 5, for a whopping 10 children (plus spouses and one adorable granddaughter❣️) Mrs. Christen enjoys oil painting, long walks, video games, restaurants, home improvement projects, and growing herbs to use in her home cooking. She is grateful for the incredible students and staff at Wasatch Jr. High—who bring so much energy, laughter, and heart to every day. She feels lucky to be part of this amazing community!

About Tina Romney:
Mrs. Romney loves working at Wasatch Junior High. She is impressed with the hard-working students, supportive parents and amazing teachers and staff. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design from Brigham Young University and continued her schooling by completing a Master’s in Business Administration. She received her Master’s in School Counseling in 2019. Her family is a very important part of her life. Mrs. Romney is married and has four children and ten grandchildren whom she loves to hang out with. Some of her favorite activities outside of school are hiking and camping in the wilds of southern Utah, mountain biking, international bike touring, reading, and watching any programs that come out of Great Britian. She is so grateful to be a part of such a great school community and thoroughly enjoys spending time with and helping the students of Wasatch Junior High.
