Beginning Guitar
Discover the joy of making music through guitar! This exciting and rewarding semester-long class is perfect for beginners ready to learn the basics of guitar playing, including chords, strumming, note reading, and simple songs. Students will build skills and confidence as they prepare for an evening concert performance at the end of the semester.
The Fall course is open to beginners with no prior experience. The Spring course is a continuation of the Fall and is only open to students who have completed Mrs. Hanson’s Fall Guitar class or who have previous guitar experience or private lessons.
Due to limited enrollment, students may only take this class once. Don’t miss your chance to be part of something fun and musical!
Concert Choir (Full Year – 7th & 8th Grade)
Prerequisite: Any of Mrs. Hanson’s music classes
Citizenship: 3 or 4 in all classes
Join our advanced choir and take your singing to the next level! Concert Choir is a full-year performance class for experienced 7th and 8th grade singers. Students will strengthen vocal technique, music reading, and ensemble skills while performing in two evening concerts, a district festival, and community and elementary school performances. A strong commitment and excellent citizenship are required—be part of a team that makes music and memories!
