Fall Sports Fees

If your student is participating in a fall sport—soccer or cross country—we have added the participation fee to their account. You can pay fees online through the Focus Parent Portal, or call our Financial Secretary, Ms. Cannon, at 385-646-3602 during school hours to make a payment.

Thank you for taking care of these fees and for supporting our student-athletes!

A Friendly Reminder for Our Bulldogs at Olympus High Football Games

We love seeing our Bulldogs supporting Olympus High and cheering on the Titans! However, we have received concerns about junior high students attending football games without adult supervision and participating in a kissing game sometimes connected with becoming a “True Titan.”

We are all for school spirit, but we think our Bulldogs can safely postpone earning their “True Titan” status for a few more years. More importantly, games involving kissing can quickly put students in an uncomfortable situation, especially when someone receives attention or a kiss they did not ask for or want.

If your junior-high student attends an Olympus High football game, please make sure a parent or guardian accompanies and supervises them. We also encourage parents to remind students that nobody should ever feel pressured to participate in a game involving physical affection. Consent and personal boundaries always come before school spirit.

Cheer loudly, wear the colors, support the Titans. Let’s keep the kissing games off the junior-high extracurricular list!

Parent-Teacher Conferences

We look forward to welcoming parents and guardians to Olympus Junior for Parent-Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, September 16 and Thursday, September 17, from 4:00–7:00 PM.

Olympus Junior teachers will be available for walk-in conferences in our Commons and Cafeteria from 4:00–7:00 PM both evenings. No appointment is necessary. Simply come at a time that works best for your family and visit with the teachers you would like to see.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are an important opportunity to connect with your student’s teachers, celebrate successes, discuss areas for growth, and make sure we are working together to help every student succeed. We hope you will make plans to join us.

Say BOO to the Flu!

We are pleased to partner with Community Nursing Services to offer an on-site “Say BOO to the Flu” vaccination clinic during both nights of Parent-Teacher Conferences.

The clinic will be available:

Wednesday, September 16 – 4:00–7:00 PM
Thursday, September 17 – 4:00–7:00 PM

Community Nursing Services will bill insurance for immunizations. For families without insurance, the cost is $14 per child vaccination and $35 per adult vaccination.

This is a convenient opportunity for students, parents, and family members to receive their flu vaccination while you are already at Olympus Junior for conferences. Keeping our school community healthy helps reduce illness, improve attendance, and keep students in class and learning.

Thank You, Olympus Junior Families

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We appreciate the many ways our parents and families help make Olympus Junior a safe, welcoming, and successful place for students.

We have a great couple of weeks ahead, and we look forward to seeing many of you at our athletic events and Parent-Teacher Conferences.

Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
