“Mr. Martin has been teaching Science at Olympus for more than a decade. He teaches Chemistry, Physics, and Astronomy, as well as ACT Prep, because why not? He has a B.S. in Chemistry and a M.S. in Physics Teaching from the University of Utah; he has also studied at BYU and Weber State. He is originally from northern Colorado; he came to Utah for school and never left. He enjoys American football, progressive rock, and the philosophical stylings of Douglas Adams.”
“Hi! I am Mr. Vanier (Mr. V for short). I am incredibly excited to be teaching Earth Science and AP Environmental Science here at Olympus. This is my 14th year in education and 11th year in the classroom. Over the last 14 years, I have taught pre-school to 12 grade and I have loved it! I have a BS in Biology from Lafayette College (Easton, PA), a MA in Teaching from St. Mary’s College of California (Moraga, CA), a MS in Earth Science from the University of Utah (Salt Lake City, UT) and am an National Board Certified Teacher. I am Canadian. I was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Before living in Utah, I lived in Hong Kong, Taipei, Los Angeles, Toronto, Miami, rural Pennsylvania, Catalina Island (CA) and the San Francisco Bay Area. I have a 4 year old daughter and a 1 year old son They are incredibly fun and keep me really busy.”
