Earlier last week, Dr. David Dunn tendered his resignation as principal of Granger High School. He has accepted a new position out of state and will be transitioning there as soon as possible. We thank him for his service to Granger High and Granite School District and wish him and his family well in this new endeavor.
This resignation left a huge gap in our Granger High team. Earlier this afternoon, the Granite School District Board of Education met in special session and approved the appointment of Dr. Tyler Howe as principal of Granger High School. This appointment is effective immediately. Many of you may already be familiar with Dr. Howe’s work in the network both at Armstrong Academy and West Lake Junior High. He knows and loves this community and we know he will be a great asset to Granger High School. We look forward to this new step in the school’s history with Principal Howe.
We have attached some brief information and photos of Dr. Howe to help get to know your new principal!
Message from Dr. Howe:
Mighty Granger Students and Parents:
I am so excited to be joining the Granger family, and I recognize that I’m joining a tremendous legacy of excellence that spans generations. Having worked in a couple of the schools that feed Granger High, I am tremendously excited to continue to work alongside students with whom I’ve worked before, to meet new families, and to find myself at home. I am lucky enough to have walked both the hallways of the old and the new Granger buildings, and I know I am joining something that is much bigger than myself. I am consistently blown away by what I’ve seen prior students of mine accomplish as Lancers, and I cannot wait to be a part of it. At Granger, all students means all students, and no school exemplifies that culture better. We are Granger!
¡Somos Granger!
