Mr. Castro, a Chilean Citizen, taught at Granite high for multiple years and was also a teacher and principal in Chile. He has now been a part of the faculty at Granger since 2006. He received his Bachelor Degree at La Universidad de Santiago de Chile in 1972 and received his Masters degree at Lesley University in 2010. Mr. Castro was teaching math in the Special Ed. Department and is now teaching Spanish full time this new school year here at Granger. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family doing different outdoor activities. These include fly fishing, camping and photography.
Ms. Sheri Cochran-Alejo

Ms. Alejo graduated with a BS from Brigham Young University and earned a MS while teaching in Las Vegas from Nova Southeastern University. She loves sharing her love of the Spanish language, culture and people. Ms. Alejo is excited to be at Granger. Go Lancers!
Mr. Braydon Eden

Mr. Eden has taught at Granger since 2012. He teaches the Latinos in Action classes and is the assistant girls’ soccer coach. He loves seeing students progress through learning and enjoys helping every student reach his or her potential. Mr. Eden is married and has 2 beautiful daughters. He loves soccer, reading, singing, M.A.S.H, and laughing with students. He graduated from Weber State University and loves being a part of Granger.
Mrs. Alyssa Fukuda

Mrs. Fukuda started working at Granger High School in the 2015-2016 School Year. She Graduated from BYU with a BA in Japanese with minors in teaching English as a second language and Global and Business Literacy. She has been studying Japanese since her freshman year in high school back in 2000. She has lived in Japan for over a year and half and has traveled all over the country. In her free time she loves to play ukulele, consume Japanese media, spend time with friends, family, and her three cats. She also loves learning about different cultures and languages.
Ms. Ruth Merrill

Ms. Merrill has been a teacher for 29 years, 28 years at West Lake Jr. High and 1 year at Granger. At West Lake, she taught FACS and French, mostly a combination of the two because she loves both subjects. In 2016, she finally graduated from middle school and is excited to be at Granger High teaching French 1 and Adult Roles and Responsibilities. Ms. Merrill received a BS from BYU a very long time ago and a Masters of Education from Harvard which she received in 1999. When she isn’t teaching, she is spending time with family, swimming, biking or reading a good book. She also loves to travel both overseas and road trips in the USA. Most recently, she spent a month in France the summer of 2015 and 16 days going from Paris to Prague with her sister and 2017.
Ms. Lisa Stowe

Mrs. Stowe has been teaching for 12 years and loves teaching at Granger High! She loves the diversity here and learns so much from her students! She believes that in today’s world there is a great need for learning more than one language and for understanding and respecting different cultures. Mrs. Stowe haS three children and loves spending time with her family. She enjoys reading, exercising and traveling. She received her Bachelors in Spanish and a minor in English as a Second Language from the University of Utah. Mrs. Stowe continued at the University of Utah receiving her Masters in Multi-Cultural Education. She hopes to share with her students that learning is fun, especially learning a second or third language!
