Mr. Norm Allen
Teacher: Geography
Mr Allen is in his 10th year of teaching, but is new to Granger High School. Mr Allen loves to teach social studies classes and is looking forward to working with teens to help them better understand the world they live in. Mr Allen has lots of interests such as sports, music and gaming. Mr Allen earned his bachelors at Weber State University in Geography and has a masters in secondary education. Mr Allen is excited to be a Lancer teacher!
Mr. Tom Brocksome
Teacher: Honors Geography, AP Human Geography
Mr. Brocksome became a teacher because he loves the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of young people! He joined the Granger Faculty in 2013, after teaching for four years at West Lake Junior and two years at Brockbank Junior. He enjoys short walks on the beach, trying new food, coaching and mentoring, eating, advocating for youth, food, and personal space. He also likes tacos, dogs, movies, and good music.
Mr. Kent Burton
Teacher: Social Studies
Mr. Burton has a B. A. from the University of Utah with a composite in social studies. He taught at west lake jr. high for 20 years and has been at Granger since 2013 - 2014. Mr. Burton loves to golf and watch all sports. He loves to go on vaction ( Disneyland ). Go Lancers.
Ms. Carolee Cluny
Teacher: Social Studies
Ms. Cluny has a BA in History, a Masters in Educational in Administration, and a Masters of Architecture all from the University of Utah. She worked as an intern architect at the architecture firm that designed Granger High School as one of their drafters. Ms. Cluny taught at Taylorsville High School and worked in Granite School District as the Social Studies Specialist. She returned to teaching, in 2013 to teach her favorite subject, American History. She loves the 11th grade students and curriculum. When Ms. Cluny has free time, she enjoys traveling the world.
Mr. Aaron Cousins
Teacher: Social Studies
Mr. Cousins has been at Granger since 2006 and a teacher since the beginning of the century! In the past he has coached many sports, with his favorites being Basketball and Baseball. He now spends much of his time outside of school doing volunteer work. He loves free food, is fluent in Spanish, and enjoys driving luxury vehicles (but he doesn’t own any). He is married and has three sons and one daughter.
Mr. Brian Fuller
Teacher: AP Government, CE 1700 American Civilizations, Honors World Civilizations; Advisor: Student Government Advisor & National Honor Society Advisor
Mr. Fuller enjoys being a member of the Granger High School Faculty. Mr. Fuller served in the United States Navy and has been teaching at Granger High School since 1999. He holds a Master of Arts Degree in History with a focus in World History from the University of Utah. His specialty is in medieval afro-eurasian cross cultural interactions and he studied the Turkish Language. He has a Bachelor of Science in Social Science Education Degree from Southern Utah University. Mr. Fuller was a director in the theatre program for 20 seasons. When he is not here working he enjoys camping, long walks in forests and on beaches, reading, shooting black powder rifles, and spending as much time as he can with his five outstanding children.
Mrs. Katherine Gaskins
Teacher: A.P. Psychology, CE Psychology 1010, Introductory Psychology, Sport & Performance Psychology & Independent Study
Mrs. Gaskins has been teaching in Granite School District since 1996. She spent two years at Granite Park Jr. High and then joined Granger High School staff in 1998. She has a Master’s in Education in Instructional Design emphasis in Neuroscience from Western Governors, a BS in Psychology & a BS in History from the University of Utah, and a BS in Human Development and Family Studies from Oregon State University. She is passionate about teaching Psychology at Granger. Mrs. Gaskins enjoys sports, traveling, reading, cooking and spending time with her husband and two daughters. Go Lancers! Psychology ROCKS!
Ms. Mariah Holtz
Teacher: 9th Grade World Geography Teacher; Club Advisor: Key Club
Ms. Holtz was born and raised in Salt Lake City and graduated with her Bachelor's of Science from the University of Utah in May of 2013 and her Master of Arts from Grand Canyon University in May of 2019. She has been teaching at Granger High School since August of 2015. She loves hiking, traveling, and dancing.
Mr. Matthew Humphrey
Teacher: World History/Geography
Mr. Humphrey enjoys teaching at Granger High and seeing students succeed. He started teaching in 2004 at Valley Junior High. He came to Granger in 2013. He graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree in History and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish. He has also earned a MEd from Western Governors University. He loves spending time with his family. He also enjoys camping, hiking, and fishing.
Mr. Jerald Hunt
Teacher: World Civilizations, Stage Crew
Mr. Hunt graduated from BYU with a degree in History. He has taught here at Granger High since 2012. Mr. Hunt loves working in technical theater where some of his favorite projects have been the sets for Billy Budd, Noises Off, and Urinetown. When not in the auditorium or studying history he enjoys running half marathons, hiking in national parks, and snowboarding the snowy slopes nearby. He loves to travel and in addition to seeing many different countries already he has a long bucket list of places to travel with his wife and three kids.
Mrs. Cheryl Jindeel
Teacher: Social Studies; Assistant Coach: Volleyball
Mrs. Jindeel loves teaching because she is passionate about igniting an interest in the world and inspiring students to see themselves as lifelong learners. Before coming to Granger, she taught social studies in Michigan and Florida. She graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Social Science with a Political Science minor and a Master of Arts degree in History. She also has degrees in Equine Business Management and International Administration. Mrs. Jindeel served for 20 years in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard. She enjoys travel, playing board games, and genealogy.
Mr. Richard Keyes
Teacher: World Civilizations
Mr. Keyes is a graduate of Taylorsville High School and Weber State University, and has been teaching since 2014. He has also earned his Master degree in 2020 from Grand Canyon University for a Master of Art in History. Mr. Keyes is married and has two wonderful boys (both graduated from Viewmont High School). He enjoys spending time with his family, reading for fun, riding horses, loves watching movies, and has become an avid golfer. He is passionate about teaching and is thrilled to teach at Granger High School.
Mr. John McNeill
Teacher: World History; US History
Mr. McNeill completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Utah. His undergrad major was History and his masters is in Education, Culture & Society. At the University of Utah, Mr. McNeill did four years of Marching Band and Pep Band. With the marching band, he played in President Obama’s inaugural parade.
Mrs. Nicolle Robinson
Teacher: U.S. Government and Citizenship and American Government and Law
Mrs. Robinson is a graduate of the University of Utah with degrees in history and anthropology. She attended Granite School District Schools and is proud to be a part of the West Valley community. She has been teaching with Granite School District since 1997. Her hobbies include hiking, soccer, reading, and photography. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, family, friends and her West Highland Terrier, Chloe.
