OakwoodUniversity of Utah BS Sociology/Family & Consumer StudiesOakwood has always been home to me! As a child, I attended Oakwood, and later all of my children attended here as well. For 17 years, I volunteered with the PTA, Community Council, and in classrooms throughout the school. It is wonderful to be back at Oakwood, now serving as the Media Clerk in the library.
Outside of school, I love traveling and spending time with my family. Whether exploring new places or simply being together, I treasure the memories we create.
My favorite thing about Oakwood is the people and the students. The strong sense of community makes Oakwood a special place. And of course, I love being surrounded by great books every day!

Serving the Oakwood Community since 2013Bachelor’s Degree from BYU, Master’s Degree from Utah StateI have spent the past 20 years teaching second grade and have also had the opportunity to serve as a Technology Coach. I love helping students learn, grow, and build confidence while making learning engaging, meaningful, and fun.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family traveling, boating, four-wheeling, and exploring new places together. I also love relaxing with a good book and a cozy blanket, gardening and creating colorful outdoor spaces, and getting creative by making my own jewelry. You can often find me enjoying a Diet Mountain Dew, stopping by Swig for a favorite drink, or trying out a new restaurant. Whether I’m at the beach soaking up the sunshine or riding at the sand dunes, I enjoy making memories with family and friends.
My favorite thing about Oakwood is the relationships I have built with both students and staff. The friendships, support, and sense of community make Oakwood a special place to learn and work.
