This is my 38th year teaching! I have taught 2nd through 6th grade students throughout the years. I plan to finish off my teaching career this year in kindergarten! I am very excited for this new adventure teaching our littlest Oakwood Owls. When I am not teaching, I enjoy cooking, reading, the ocean, painting rocks, and spending time with my family. I have 3 daughters, 4 gorgeous grandchildren, with one on the way, due in November. I graduated from BYU, with a degree in Early Childhood Education, so blue, cougar blood runs through my veins! I have a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Chapman University in Orange, California. I have teaching endorsements in Gifted and Talented Learners, English Language Learners, as well as a National Board Certification. I am thrilled to be at Oakwood. I love how supportive and involved the parents are, and of course the students…they are the best!

I have been teaching for 15 years! All of those years have been with K-8 students who need extra social emotional learning needs (SEL). I love teaching here at Oakwood in the lower grade SEL unit. Little kids are my favorite to teach. We have so much fun reading, doing math, art, working on speech, occupational therapy, and learning to live and play with friends.

This is my first year teaching and I'm so excited! I'm from Bountiful and recently graduated from Utah State. I have been married for almost 2 years now and love being with my family. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy playing pickleball, going to movies, or taking a spin (cycling) class! I can't wait to teach this year and learn so much in return!
