We are so grateful for our Veterans! Students at Oakwood have been learning about the sacrifices they made for our freedom. Each child has written or drawn a picture to send to the Veterans Hospital (That is over 500 cards!!)

Many breakfast cereals are fortified with iron, meaning iron flecks are added to it. Iron is a mineral our body depends on. Today, as part of their science unit on magnetism, 5th graders crushed up cereal, then used magnets to pull out the iron. Science rules!
