This Perschon Family Memorial Scholarship is designated for a senior student that intends to seek a degree as teacher or as a health care professional.
This scholarship is in appreciation of the important part Olympus High School has played in the lives of Stephen Perschon (2015-2021) and his parents; Mark Perschon (class of 1967), Susan “Silver” Perschon (class of 1968), and in remembrance of Dawnelle Wilkins Perschon (wife of Steve), who passed away from heart surgery complications in December 2020. Furthermore, the PFMS acknowledges and recognizes the great love and support from the Olympus high community given to the Perschon family during the passing of their wife and mother.
The ultimate purpose of this scholarship is to: 1) Assist a student in earning a teaching degree, with the hope that the recipient will be a positive influence, having a desire to expand the minds of the next generation, or 2) Assist a student in earning a degree in healthcare with the hope that the recipient will have a desire to comfort patients as well as their families in times of need.
