The Norma DePaula ESL scholarship is a tribute to the remarkable journey of Norma DePaula, a Brazilian immigrant as a young woman ventured to Utah to pursue a degree at LDS Business College. A trailblazer in her family, Norma was the first to leave Brazil for higher education, breaking barriers, and inspiring others. With a decades long career in finance, she became a US citizen in 2013, embodying the spirit of resilience and achievement. This scholarship is dedicated to supporting students who have learned English as a Second Language (ESL), encouraging and recognizing the determination and accomplishments of those navigating linguistic and cultural landscapes.
