Mike was a teacher at Olympus High School for his entire 34 year teaching career. He retired in 2011 and passed away in 2015. Prior to his death he had expressed his desire that a portion of his estate be set aside for a scholarship at Olympus High. He helped coach the girl’s swim team, took tickets at the door at the basketball games and kept stats at the football games. He also helped with the planning of the new Olympus High campus. Mike believed in giving back to the community as a long time assistant Scout Master and after retiring he gave of his time to assisting Special Needs Young Adults. This scholarship reflects his belief in education and giving back to the community.
