Work-based learning links students to future career opportunities. Mrs. Curry is the work-based learning specialist. Her office is located in the Career Center. Contact her to make an appointment.
Student interns take a semester long pass/fail class which allows them to explore a career in depth. This program requires students to complete 40 hours at the internship site. Students will complete course work to build a LinkedIn account, create resume and participate in mock interviews. They will also do a final project that involves creating a PowerPoint presentation , which will be presented at the junior high schools.
Students can participate in job shadowing opportunities to learn about careers. Mrs. Curry assists with connecting students to employers to pursue job shadows.
