College Application Week, also known as CAW, is an opportunity for seniors to receive support as they prepare for life after high school. During CAW, students will receive help with college applications, technical college options, scholarships, transcripts, and next steps after graduation.

At Granger High School, our goal is to make sure every senior has the information and support they need to create a plan for their future.

UCAW 2026-2027

October 26-30, 2026

CAW activities will take place through senior English classes. Students who do not have an English class on campus will still have opportunities to receive support from the Counseling Center.

What Students Will Work On

During CAW, seniors will have time to:

  • Explore college, technical college, apprenticeship, military, workforce, and mission options
  • Complete at least one college or technical college application
  • Learn how to send transcripts through Parchment
  • Prepare for FAFSA and financial aid next steps
  • Create or update their post-high school plan

Sending Transcripts

Many colleges and scholarship programs require an official transcript.

Granger students can send transcripts through Parchment.

Important Transcript Reminder

Transcripts are free while students are still enrolled in high school. After graduation, students may be charged a fee to send transcripts.

Students should make sure they use a personal email address when creating their Parchment account so they can continue accessing it after graduation.

How to use parchment video tutorial.

College Application Fees

Some college applications are free during CAW, while others may still require a fee.

Students who qualify for a fee waiver should speak with their counselor or college access advisor for support.

Utah College & Technical College Options

Students have many pathways after high school. Some students may choose a college or university, while others may prefer a technical college that offers career-focused training and certification programs. Both options can help students prepare for their future.

Concurrent Enrollment Students

  • SLCC CE students planning on going to SLCC, follow these instructions.
  • SLCC CE students NOT going to SLCC after high school, follow THIS link.
  • UVU CE Students Send Transcripts Only!

Not Sure Where to Start?

That’s okay. CAW is designed to help students explore options and take one step at a time.

Students can ask themselves:

  • Do I want to attend a 4-year college?
  • Would a 2-year college be a better fit?
  • Am I interested in a technical program or certificate?
  • Do I want to work, serve a mission, join the military, or take another path after graduation?
  • What kind of training or education will help me reach my goals?
