Look at all the AMAZING and VARIED career training programs available through SLCC and Salt Lake Technical College!

130 career training programs that take anywhere from 6 weeks to 2 years to complete. Earn a certificate or an  Associate of Applied Science degree (AAS) that can get you directly into the workforce…or earn an Associate of Science (AS), Associate of Arts (AA), or Associate of Pre-Engineering (APE) degree that prepares you to transfer seamlessly to a bachelor degree program at one of Utah’s public 4-year universities.

Taking SLCC CE (Concurrent Enrollment) classes in high school is a great way to save money on career training down the road.

Once a student is enrolled in their first CE class, they can create a MyCE Plan online. They can even meet with the SLCC Academic Advisor assigned to Taylorsville High School to make sure their plan really does help them meet their goals–and she’ll be in our Career Center on October 28th!

The U.S. is projected to have a gap of 700,000+ workers in “middle skills” jobs in the next 10 years. “Middle skills” jobs require only a certificate or associate degree and earn early career workers more than $55,000 a year–with salaries jumping to more than $80,000 by mid-career!

High school students can take classes at Salt Lake Tech FOR FREE. These classes prepare students for “middle skills” jobs and many certifications can be completed in under one year!

High school students can complete their first year of college before they graduate from high school. That saves them a year of their life–and THOUSANDS of dollars. Schedule an appointment with your counselor to learn more about the General Education Certificate of Completion (PDF)!

GET TO KNOW SLCC – 3/5/26
