Happy 2020! I am grateful that the holidays allow us to refresh and renew. Today, we as a staff met, received great instruction, renewed our commitment to you and your families and looked at the latest student data and practices to ensure success.
One last big shout out to the amazing Deb Wagner! We are honored to have had her inspire us for the past 42 years. She is always a Charger and promises to return for our fun run in the Spring. I would like to introduce our new P.E. teacher, Jared Gunter. Jared was selected by our interview team because of his commitment to students, learning and pushing life to the limit. Jared is coming all the way from the great state of New Hampshire. He is excited to be apart of our amazing community. We are proud to welcome him to our Churchill family.
A reminder that we have our Churchill on Parade on January 22nd from 6 to 7:30. Please brag us up to all your friends and families. I can say without hesitation that this community and school is a great place to attend.
Finally, Quarter 3 is very important for students to maximize their learning outcomes. Please help them by asking what they have learned in classes, what they need to do to push beyond a 3, and review your expectations to them about reaching their highest potential. Studies show teenagers listen to you as parents more than anyone else. Please share with them how you learn, study and grow.
Churchill is also proud of our Region 5 reflections winners:
Award of Excellence:
Nora Johnson- Visual Arts
Craig Larson – Music Composition
Congratulations to those winners!
