The Titan Leadership Award is awarded to a student who exhibits exceptional leadership to his or her peers at all times. The ideal candidate doesn’t necessarily need to be involved in student government, sports, or the arts (although that doesn’t hurt), but rather embodies a true leader, someone who can rally a group toward a worthy cause. As part of the application, students will submit a letter of recommendation from both a peer and a faculty mentor providing examples of the applicant’s leadership experiences. The student must also provide a 1000 word essay arguing the importance of strong ethical leadership for today’s youth. The Titan Leadership Scholarship will be selected by a group of former student leader alumni from Olympus High.
